Tribute for Jerry Caro:

With profound sadness, we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Jerry Caro, legendary paintball player and cherished member of the Los Angeles Ironmen, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 38. Known affectionately as #4, Jerry was more than just a player — he was a powerhouse of energy, talent, and inspiration who left an indelible mark on the sport of professional paintball.

From the moment he made his debut with the Ironmen in 2014, Jerry captivated fans and teammates alike with his relentless aggression on the field and his unmatched dedication to the game. His return to the Ironmen this season was met with excitement and admiration, a true homecoming for a player whose heart never left the team.

Jerry’s impact stretched far beyond wins and stats. He embodied everything that makes paintball more than a sport — the grit, the camaraderie, the respect, and the passion. As a teammate, he was a fierce leader and a loyal brother. As a competitor, he was fearless and unstoppable. And as a human being, he was known for his kindness, humility, and integrity.

The Dye Precision family, who stood beside Jerry throughout his career, join the Ironmen and the greater paintball community in mourning his loss. Together, we celebrate the life of a man who gave his all — not only to the game he loved, but to the people lucky enough to call him a friend.

Jerry’s legacy lives on in the countless lives he inspired and the community he helped shape. His name, his number, and his spirit will forever be part of the Ironmen family. Our deepest condolences go out to Jerry’s family, friends, and teammates during this incredibly difficult time. May we carry his memory forward with the same heart and fire he brought to every match. Rest in peace, Jerry. You’ll always be one of the greats.
