It is with broken hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Cason Chilton, a beloved Junior Baseball player from Tappahannock, Virginia, and a cherished member of the Lancaster County Little League. Cason’s sudden departure has left a deep and lasting void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Cason, proudly wearing #10, was more than just a talented young athlete. He was known for his kind heart, respectful nature, and radiant personality that made every game, practice, and gathering brighter. He touched countless lives—teammates, coaches, friends, and community members—with his joy, sportsmanship, and infectious smile.
To say he will be missed is an understatement. Cason was the kind of young man who brought people together—on and off the field. Whether casting a line on a fishing trip or rounding the bases during a game, he did everything with heart. His memory will forever live on in the stories we share, the games played in his honor, and the wristbands we wear to remember our sweet #10.
