Tribute for Kay Arthur:

With both deep sorrow and profound gratitude, we announce that Kay Arthur, beloved co-founder of Precept Ministries International, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of May 20, 2025. Kay’s life was one marked by unwavering devotion to God, His Word, and the calling placed on her heart. What began as a simple Bible study in her living room with her husband, Jack, in the late 1960s blossomed into a global movement. Over the past 55 years, Kay helped lead millions of people around the world into a deeper, life-changing relationship with God through inductive Bible study — empowering believers to know God, understand His truth, and live it boldly.

Through television broadcasts, radio, prolific writing, and tireless speaking engagements, Kay poured her heart into sharing the Gospel and equipping the church. Her legacy is not only seen in the pages of her many Bible study guides or the airwaves where her voice once resonated, but in the countless lives transformed by the Scriptures because of her ministry.

To know Kay was to witness conviction wrapped in grace, wisdom delivered with passion, and humility shaped by years of walking closely with the Lord. Her boldness in proclaiming truth was always rooted in love — a reflection of her reverence for God and her deep compassion for others. Today, we grieve the loss of a mother in the faith, a teacher, a friend, and a spiritual pioneer. Yet, we rejoice in the sure promise that Kay is now whole, restored, and rejoicing in the presence of her Savior, whom she served so faithfully.

We ask you to join us in thanking God for the life and ministry of His daughter, Kay Arthur. Pray for the Arthur family, the Precept team, and all those mourning her loss around the world. May the God of all comfort be near to them in this time. As Kay taught us through the Word, we stand firm in hope, believing the truth she lived by: “The people who know their God will display strength and take action. Daniel 11:32b (NASB) Well done, good and faithful servant. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
