Tribute for Finn Maxwell:
With heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Finn Maxwell, a courageous young man from Dallas, Texas, who left this world far too soon. Finn passed away surrounded by love after an extraordinary battle with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Click the link to support the family with funeral expenses.
A 2023 graduate of Colleyville Heritage High School and a student at the University of Arkansas, Finn was full of life, curiosity, and promise. In February 2024, his world changed with a sudden and devastating diagnosis. In the months that followed, Finn faced every challenge — 39 rounds of chemotherapy, 28 radiation sessions, emergency surgeries, and grueling hospital stays — with unwavering strength and grace.
Despite unimaginable hardships, Finn’s spirit remained unshaken. His resilience inspired all who knew him. Just days before his passing, the Colleyville community came together to give him a magical Christmas homecoming filled with carols, Santa, and streets lined with love. That outpouring of warmth was a testament to the impact Finn had on those around him — his kindness, his courage, and the light he carried with him always. Finn was the cherished middle son of Jason and Kirsten Maxwell and beloved brother to Gavin and Ronan. His family stood by his side through every moment, embodying the same strength and hope that Finn so gracefully lived with.
To honor Finn’s memory and continue his legacy, donations are being accepted to create a scholarship or foundation in his name. Funds will also support the Maxwell family with medical and home care expenses. A GoFundMe page has been set up — please see the comments or links provided by friends of the family. Let us remember Finn not only for his brave fight but for his warmth, humor, and generous heart. May we carry his light forward by uplifting others, just as he did. Rest peacefully, sweet Finn. You will be loved forever. Click the link to support the family with funeral expenses.
