It is with unimaginable sorrow that we announce the passing of Price Poe, a vibrant and beloved sixteen-year-old from Cherokee, Oklahoma, who tragically lost his life following an accident earlier this week. Price was a young man full of heart, humor, and a love for life that was contagious. His unexpected loss has deeply impacted his family, friends, and the entire Alva and Cherokee communities.
Price was known for his kind spirit, his hardworking nature, and his passion for the outdoors. Whether he was swinging clubs on the golf course, casting a line on the lake, working with cattle, or simply spending time with those he loved, Price lived fully and authentically. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and his smile could light up any room.
To honor his legacy, the Price Poe Memorial Foundation is being established—a lasting tribute to the incredible life Price lived and the joy he brought to others. The foundation will be led by a board including Allan, Daresa, and Perry, and will support causes that reflect Price’s values and interests. Future fundraising events, such as golf and fishing tournaments and cattle sales, will help fund scholarships and support families in need.
